Kyle Powers Promoted to U.S. Navy Reserve Captain

We are pleased and proud to announce that our own Kyle Powers, CFP®, MBA, AIF, the firm’s Director of 401(k) Advisory Services, was promoted to the rank of Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserve, effective July 1, 2022.

An experienced Surface Warfare Officer, Kyle has more than two decades of military service, including nine years of active duty in the U.S. Navy and 12 years of reserve duty in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Powers is currently serving as the Commanding Officer of the Navy Reserve’s Commander Task Force 56 (CTF-56). The Manama, Bahrain-based task force oversees Naval Expeditionary Combat Forces stationed in the Middle East, including Explosive Ordinance Disposal, Expeditionary Logistics and Maritime Expeditionary Security Forces. Powers previously served as the Commanding Officer of U.S. Africa Command’s Navy Reserve Strategy, Engagement and Programs J5 Detachment.

Kyle was recognized for his excellence in both areas in May 2021, when he was named a WTOC Community Champion.
